Heal in India
An India-based team that handles the practical side of medical treatment, Ayurveda, homeopathy and health check-up trips. You choose your hospital or practitioner. We arrange the ground: appointment requests, stays, airport transfers, interpreters and time to recover.
- You choose your provider
- Facts with sources
- Written quotes
- Not a medical provider
Care Beyond Borders is a private company and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Government of India or its 'Heal in India' initiative. About the initiative

Look up the credentials yourself
You shouldn't have to take anyone's word for it, including ours. Before you commit to a hospital or doctor, these official directories let you confirm the facts in a few minutes.
JCI directory
Joint Commission International lists the hospitals it currently accredits, worldwide. Search by country and city.
NABH portal
India's National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers publishes which hospitals hold its accreditation and until when.
NMC Indian Medical Register
The National Medical Commission's register shows whether a doctor is registered to practise in India, with their council and qualification.
Accreditation and registration show that standards and rules apply. They are not a guarantee of any result.
Three stages, one team beside you
You stay in charge of the medical side. We look after the rest, from the first question to the flight home.
Prepare
Ask the hospitals you choose for a written opinion and estimate, then sort the visa, dates and a place to stay.
Arrive & receive care
We meet you at the airport, get you settled and handle admission paperwork, transport and interpreters while your doctors do their work.
Rest & return
A calm place to recover, your records in hand for your doctor at home, and help with the journey back.
Four ways to Heal in India
Each one is a trip you plan with providers you pick. We take care of the logistics around it, so you and your family can focus on the appointment itself.
Medical treatment coordination
Hospital appointment requests, written estimates from the hospitals you choose, visa paperwork guidance, transfers, stays and interpreters.
Medical travel →Ayurveda & Nadi Pariksha
Retreat stays in Kerala at centres you select, starting with a consultation that commonly includes Nadi Pariksha, a traditional pulse assessment.
Ayurveda in Kerala →Homeopathy
Consultations with BHMS-qualified practitioners registered under India's National Commission for Homoeopathy, with the visit planned around them.
Homeopathy in India →Check-up holidays & recovery stays
A holiday with a lab package or hospital executive check-up booked in, and quiet places to rest after treatment.
Check-ups & recovery →You choose. We coordinate.
We are a coordination company, not a hospital or clinic. That keeps the roles clear.
- Your choice of provider. You pick the hospital, doctor, Ayurveda centre or homeopath. If you ask, we gather published information on options so you can compare them.
- Facts you can check. We point you to official directories, such as the JCI and NABH lists for hospitals and India's national registers for practitioners, so you can verify credentials yourself.
- Prices in writing. Treatment estimates come from the provider, in writing. Our own coordination fee is agreed in writing before any work starts.
- Your medical records stay with your doctors. We don't need your records to plan a trip, and we ask you not to send them to us.
Getting ready, from wherever you live
People look at treatment in India for different reasons. Here is what the published data says about each region we serve, with the source linked.
Deductibles and wait times
For workers in employer plans with a general deductible, the average deductible for single cover was $1,955 in 2026 (KFF). New patients waited an average of 31 days for a physician appointment across 15 large metro areas in 2025 (AMN Healthcare).
For US patients → CanadaSpecialist and surgery waits
Canadian physicians reported a median wait of 28.6 weeks from GP referral to treatment in 2025 (Fraser Institute survey).

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Capacity for some specialised services, such as radiotherapy, varies a lot across the region (IAEA data, 2025).

Every region we serve →Share your reports. Get an answer you can read twice.
Tell us what care you're considering. We help you send your reports straight to the accredited hospitals you pick, and we follow up until you have their written reply: whether they can see you, what they suggest, and their estimate. We reply to your enquiry in writing within one working day, with the next steps and what we can arrange, and that first written reply is free. It covers planning only, not medical advice. Hospitals reply on their own timelines; we follow up with them, but we don't control how long they take. There's no obligation to travel.
Your reports go to the hospitals, not to us; the medical opinion is theirs. We don't assess reports or recommend treatment.
Heal in India: a national initiative, a private team on the ground
"Heal in India" is the Government of India's initiative to promote medical value travel to India. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare promotes it alongside "Heal by India", and the Union Budget 2025-26 said it would be promoted in partnership with the private sector, with capacity building and easier visa norms.

Modern cities, ready to welcome you
India's large cities have international airports, metro systems and hospitals with international accreditation. If you haven't visited recently, it may look different from what you expect.
You can check any hospital's current accreditation yourself in the Joint Commission International (JCI) directory or on the NABH portal, India's national hospital accreditation board. Accreditation is not a guarantee of any outcome.
